Which OVA is it that takes place before the series when he is Battousai the Manslayer I was at the store and saw reaflection and samurai X but didn't know which on of them it was. I know that there is another but i didn't see it. Also which is the best in your opinion?

id go for the first 2 aswell, but id rather have the 1st four together since they are better like that, and kenshins past is one full of bloody battles that are damn cool to watch (3 and 4 show how he hides, then kills his wife while fighting these 4 weird guys)
