I tried that, but she didn't like it!!! Said it was too cold! Are you suppose to warm up the shaft first? As for the origional question..... Strap down the motor to a wooden pallet, then pour a little pre-mix gas down the intake and try to start it up(just to make sure it runs). If it runs, search these forums for web sites posted. There is alot of info for plans on building stuff, just takes some research.

i'm just about finished building a gocart with a 339cc rotax ski-doo engine. i used 2 x 1" rectangular tube steel for most of the frame with 3/16" wall. spindle tubes and cradles for the front i had machined and it was easy as long as you have a way to measure the angle of the cuts for your spindle tubes to fit on the front axle. steering was easy too. the rod and pitman system. though make sure it is at least 1/8 inch thick pitmans and 3/8 inch thick rods. rigging the engine is hard. i kept the clutches, brake, and driveshaft intact. to rig the drive you just simply go from the engine/primary to your secondary which has the chain case to your live axle and make sure you hold the fuck on cuz with the right sprocket ratio you're doing 80kph no shit.
