On this day in 1945, the only atomic bomb explosion on human beings ever was done, killing a vast amount of innocent people. Regardless of race, colour or religion, let us pray for them and for the world that something like that would never happen again ever. Death is a beautiful thing for the prepared, and a nightmare to the unprepared. We have to pray for those people who died in the explosion who were not yet ready to embrace heaven, for the people who were responsible for that deed and for the purification of their souls if it is God's will, and pray for ourselves that we be ready when our time comes.
