Take heart friend. Apparently there has been suggestion of a Kikaider 02 in a Newtype magazine. I am getting this information strictly secondhand as I am not able to get my hands on the issue of Newtype this is stated in though, but I trust my source. Anyhow, it seems to be considered a fan creation that has 'kept true to the original manga', so perhaps it's a published doujinshi. I guess it would have to be since Ishinomori-sama has passed on.
