well Vash only did it because other ppl's lives were in danger. He did blast Knives before with his transformed arm, but of course it didnt kill him.

But that makes Vash a hippocrite. It's Vash's fault that Wolfwood died, because in reality Wolfwood was right all along. Sometimes killing is necessary. Vash believed that no one had the right to kill another. Vash gets Wolfwood mixed up with his ideologies and then dies because he won't kill his mentor to save his life. Oh and then Vash goes and kills Legato. What a bunch of bullshit. What happend to no killing for any reason that got Wolfwood killed. Oh well it's all good.

Well, Legato said about as much. But hey, that's life. Here's a tidbit for you. As far as Wolfwood was concerned, he was saved by not killing his teacher. I read an interesting bit of info on that Green Apple he gets from Chapel when he refuses to kill him. See, the Red Apple represents man-kind's fall, therefore the opposite colored Green Apple represents man-kind's salvation. Wolfwood has been a killer for most of his life, and he has constantly failed at getting the Green Apple from Chapel. Only when Wolfwood refuses to kill does he gain salvation and the Green Apple. So, it works out in the end.

But that doesn't stop Vash from being a hippocrite.

what does that mean? Vash did that beacuse peoples live were endanger. "sometime you have to kill for others to live." I heard that from some where.

He what!!!!I couldn't watch it, my mom made me go to sleep. I can't believe Vash killed Legato. I liked Legato!

Well also Legato made Vash shoot him.So it's Legato's own fault!

But Vash was taught by Rem that taking life for any reason is wrong and should not be done because there is always another way. By not not doing what he preached he is being a hippocrite, no matter what the circumstances.

But Vash then realizes that by accepting that he made a mistake he can make amendments for the wrong he committed and be guilt-free again.

i finally watched the last episode! (even though right as vash was about to shoot knives the tv suddenly shut off and when i turned it back on they were showing meryl and millie that really pissed me off but they gave a final shot of vash carrying a wounded knives)

and... about the whole vash contradicting himself thing i guess i would agree but then theres also "Rem, I'll continue to believe in you, but from now on, I'll look to my own words for guidance." - Vash's last words in the series, and the last words in the series period, Underneath the Sky So Blue ....
