Earlier than I thought

What happens if I get to my reservation 15-30 minutes earlier than I thought? Can I take the car, or should I wait around? If I can take the car, are there any additional charges associated with using the car early?

The car will permit access up to 30 minutes prior to the start of your reservation. If you show up more than 10 minutes prior than your reserved start time, we automatically tack on an add'l 30 minutes to your reservation.

Your card should have worked, not sure what happened in this instance.

8-0 Oh, I see... Does that show up on your preliminary invoice on the web site, or will I not know until my credit card is charged?

It showed up on my web invoice. I reserved the car for 12:00 to 1:00, but ended up using it from 11:30 to 1:00, and I was charged for 1.5 hours.

Interesting to know... I got to my reservation a little less than 10 minutes early and my card would not unlock the doors. I just waited until my reservation time and then it worked fine. I made my resrevation about an hour in advance so the signal should have been sent already. Does the "early entry" timing work in Boston?
