just saw a red Brutale in the flesh at my local dealer. The frame was flat black which was a nice contrast to the red tank and bright silver wheels. No test drive...

Picked up my red Brutale in NC yesterday. 14-hour roundtrip from DC. If the VIN's are globally unique, I have #10. It now has 120 miles and I have a big silly grin. I really didn't think it would be this good. The injection is flawless. The front end is perfect (at under 74mph (6th @ 6K)). Ergos are great. Wind at 74mph, and under, is surprisingly light. I guess the combination of that weird light and the dash act like a flyscreen. The exhaust note @ 6K is so cool. I can't wait for 9K. The fit, finish, and detail are far beyond my expectations. I have only two complaints: the seat is horrible and the fake carbon is un-attractive (no offense). Mine came with the Pilot Sports (190 rear). I don't know how these rank with the other choices I could have ended up with. Once I can feel my ass again, I'll be back on it to knock off the 180 miles keeping me from 9K. I bought this bike for 200-mile-and-less days. With a different/altered seat, I think I could ride it all day. I'll let you know how it feels again after I acquire some more miles.

Any news on when the black brutales are due to arrive? I have a deposit on a black one. Can not wait!
