Hi My clie made a film as .MAI which is not recognised by anything. After a bit of struggle I used TMPGenc to convert the files in MPG and a burn a VCD using Ulead Movie DVD factory which lets to create a DVD on the hard drive which "Nero" does not recognise and I did not have a DVD burner.

AT the end I had to write directly to VCD from Movie DVD factory and I am so glad that I could do that. I was about to give up!

Hi Raghav, What model of SONY Cam do you have?. If your PC does not have a TV tuner card, does your PC have any kind of IEEE/1394 capture card? Some of the latest PCs have the 1394 ports available from the factory. If it is a branded PC let us know what brand and model it is. We can go from there.

Cheers!!! VC

Hi I have a simillar problem I have a sony handicam DCR/TRV 103 and i have recorded many vedio films and wanted to edit and convert to a movie and store it in a cd for my use. I had purchase a packet of movie dv suite containing a software a digital vedio card and a 1394 wire. I have tried my best but could not get the results the software was not reconising the handicam at all then i purchase a pinnacle 8.4 but to no result I feel there should be some drivers to reconise the handicam so that we can workthrough.

Can any one guide me what i should do. and if a driver is needed where can i get it

Thanks.
