Do you use a router?

u need to give more info.

did u leave the bittorrent on for a while first? firewall? sch comp or personal? did u open the port for BT? any seed for the file?

if it says no host, it seems like the site may be down or maybe there's overloading at the moment.

if you are using Windows XP (which included a firewall by default!), try this page http://support.microsoft.com/support/kb/articles/Q308/1/27.ASP you shoud open ports 6881 to 6889 for bittorrent. Good luck ;-) (you may also check these pages: http://lugdunum2k.free.fr/winxp/winxp.htm and http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;Q283673)
