went for allocation hearing,summary judgement 31stjuly.judge not very sympathetic tried every defence including 6yr time limit for interest however found financial irregularities in statements.complained to various bodies who are investigating.if i use 6yr time limit again,plus no proof of claim and some more bits idug up have i a chance of winning or should i make a small offer to settle before its too late.

Ian, I was in the same situation as you. This is only my opinion of course, but I settled for a tiny sum to ensure I didnt end up with a CCJ against me for substantially more than the settlement figure. I did all the fighting this and that but didnt want to take the chance. If you think you have a good case then no reason not to fight it, entirely upto you. But remember if you dont settle and you do get a CCJ pretty good chance you will struggle to get a mortgage in future, not scaer mongering just a fact.
