I could swear someone posted a topic on this before, but I'm assuming that like me, a lot of people here don't like this phrase. At another forum I visit someone asked exactly why us otakus didn't like this phrase. I was too tierd to explain the reasoning behind it so, do any of you dislike this phrase? If so why or why not? Ok,ya i agree,i dislike this phrase cuz its so kiddy! i mean its not called japanamation its called anime....and i think its stupid to call it other wise...and also japanamation sounds like an american hick branding of it...but thats just my opinion...

Well reason I prefer Anime is because I worked at a video store. Anime and Hentai are seperate, Japanamation constitutes both. I like to know that I'm getting anime, rather then something repulsive.

I prefer anime over japanamation because japanamation is a loose reference commonly used by people who have never seen anime....i know that when I was In middle school kids would always mocked japan and refered to anime as japanamation so i don't like it out of pride for japan and anime...

I didn't used to mind the phrase Japanimation, although anime took less time to say, so I used it. But Cronoz is right ... I hadn't even thought of that. ^_^ Anime is just far nicer.

japanimation is just too long to say compared to anime. and if u say u like anime to someone who knows nothing about it, they'll ask u about it, but japanimation gives it away = no conversation.
