Hi, I have a question. I have a Sears 10hp riding lawnmower engine. Is there anyway i could make this run faster even if it is still on the riding lawnmower frame? All i took off the mower was the blade and its cage. Note:this is also a rear engine mower. But If you could give me some advice that would be great. Thanks

hmmmmmmm! if i understand ya right!you want to make the mower go faster.well, if it has a belt from the engine, to the trans, its simple use a bigger pulley,on the motor, or a smaller on the trans.however, changing gears while moving,on a rider,is notoriously hard.plus, the throttle,is a concern to me,if ya need to let off the gas quick! dont want to be reachin for the lever.find a twist grip, from a mc,cut a section out of the steering wheel and slip in the twist grip throttle,if you can find a centrifacle cluth for the motor, would help too then small pulley,on trans. or chain.when ya let of the gas, would change gears too, cause no presure! let me know, what happends! see ya!

Take the governor switch off, by doing this it will not limit the rpm
