Emulsion transfers with Polaroid 679

greenspun.com : LUSENET : polaroid transfers : One Thread

Has anyone used Polaroid Polacolor Pro 100 679 for emulsion transfers? What were the results? How does it compare to 669?

Thanks for any feedback!

Polaroid 679 (which has been discontinued) can not be used to make emulsion transfers - it will result in very nice image transfers (they actually look smoother than transfers made with 669). Polaroid now has 690 as a replacement for 679 (but it also can only be utilized for IMAGE transfers). If you try to make an emulsion transfer with 679 or 690 it will obliterate in the hot water. 669 film can be used for both image and emulsion transfers quite well.
