Bittorrent doesn't work. It starts on 5okb/s, when my acsess is 700kb/s max!!!!! Then it goes to less than 1kb/s!! Once I downloaded an MPEG1 with it. It took 14 hours, and the video and sound were offset!

Theose troubleshooting guides just made things worse. The guy wrote the programt, and he doesn't even know how to make a good help guide.

bittorent is wonderful. dun sulk n complain just bcos u dunno how to use. there're a lot of possible reasons when dl speeds r slow, and a lot of solutions to get around that.

BitTorrent does not perform well as other networks like Kazaa because it not yet popular as them. And you're right, the user interface is shit. In my opinion, BitTorrent can eat it.

The back end of bit torrent is great. but the front end is lacking a little bit. I am sure someone will put sweet interface to work with this good prog.

Bittorrent's advantages comes from economic efficiency, not transfer efficiency. The reason why bt can't go as fast as http transfer is because bt speed is fueled by residential lines and not t-1 lines used by webservers. The only situation where you can actually use up all downstream is when there is a fast seed or a fast peer who almost has a complete copy of the file. BT relies on luck, if every peers and seeds are slow uploader then there will be one or two person who gets a decent speed thus draining all the download transfer rate from other people. BT is not meant to be compete with http in terms of speed, but to save up bandwidth so you can host hundreds of video files without having the site crashing.
