yu yu hukusho is a relly goood anime but it's not as good as rurouni kenshin.

Yu Yu hakusho has very good action, but ver crappy storyline.Kenshin is the best of both worlds, some what realistic action scenes with good storyline,but the best thing about kenshin is the character buildup, u see in kenshin there is no meaningless deaths. They go into the background of each character where good or bad, which makes u interested in the character even if they r evil. I would like to see YU Yu hakusho do that.

I think Yu Yu Hakusho is better then Kenshin, but the Kenshin OAV (Samurai X) is tied with yu yu.

Kenshin is, mainly because the story is more realistic than the story of Yu Yu Hakusho. Yu Yu Hakusho is good, but not as good as Kenshin. Kenshin has better animation and a better plot, though sometimes Rurouni Kenshin seems gay, its a really great show and one of my favorite animes

I like Yu Yu Hakusho because Kurama is HOT and Hiei is sorta funny to me. BUT COOOOME ON MAN!! RUROUNI KENSHIN IS WAY BETTER!! I'M A FRICKIN' GIRL AND I KNOW THAT!! KENSHIN IS JUST AS HOT AS KURAMA AND AS FUNNY AS HIEI(IF NOT FUNNIER, AND IT HAS ALOT OF SUSPENCE WITH A NICE CHUNK OF ACTION.

There's actually little to compare. Yu Yu Hakusho came out in the early 90's and Kenshin in the late 90's. Yu Yu is purely fiction whereas Kenshin is historical fiction (i.e. the Meiji Restoration). Two different types of stories and action. And differences in settings (Kenshin in the 1860's and 70's and Yu Yu Hakusho most likely in the 90's). Bottom line: You can't compare them. They're too dissimilar.

Notes: The Meiji Restoration actually happened in Japan during the 1860's and the legend of the Battousai might be ficticious or it actually may have had real merit. Corrections: Yu Yu Hakusho probably takes place in the 1990's.

I don't know, their so hard to chose from. I mean Yu Yu Hakusho with the blood thirsty and killing demons and Rurouni Kenshin with the sonic fast movments and cool slashing from swords, it's hard. I say both is great.

ummm...i would say that Kenshin is better only because it has more in depth detail, especailly with the characters...and its just oh so cute!(that it is!) ^_^x ..but i just looooove Yu Yu Hakusho mainly because of Kurama and ~HIEI~!..i loove Hiei!.. as a fellow short person i find him to be the coolest on the show ( hes so KAWAII!!!) wow..im babbling..yea...Yu Yu rocks..and Kenshin does too...just a itty bitty more...

ALL YOU PEOPLE WHO SAY KENSHINS BETTER, you really need to study Yu Yu Hakusho more. well, i'd say YYH is better because im more into magic and fantasy rather that history stuff. You cant compare Yusuke and Kenshin, Yusukes way cooler. I just mean his attitude towards everybody and Kayko. But Hiei is what made me love Yu Yu Hakusho so much, and Kurama. Hey, at least the people in Yu Yu Hakusho don't fly, except for jin. You people should take a closer look at Mukuro also...

Does everyone here think Rurouni Kenshin is better than Yu Yu Hakusho!???!! B-but, I watched like 5 eps of kenshin and I had no idea what was going on. And in Yu Yu Hakusho, all I needed was 5 eps to get me into it. Yusuke doesnt suck! That girl in kenshin does! Although I have to admit, Yahiko is kinda cute, he looks just like Yusuke when he was a little boy. lalala, I LOVE HIEI!!!
