HAPPY 4th JULY to all the American FRLians. I am guessing that you will get a long weekend with the 4th being on a Friday, so I hope you all enjoy it to the max.

Ummm, Carol? Did you know that today is CANADA's birthday??

I'm feeling all dejected and rejected and, and.. sad! :-(

Of course, I have no idea when Aussie's celebrate their independence either (blush) - in your summer, I hope!

Oh, and you're right - Happy July 4th to all our American friends!!!!

:-)

LOL thanks Tricia. HAPPY CANADA DAY to all the Canucks.

Oh boy I hope that's not offensive. I'm really not sure if "Canuck" applies to all Canadians or if it is an ethnic term, so if I haven't got it right I sincerely apologize.

They say you learn something new everyday, so you'd think with the amount of time I've been around I'd be a lot cleverer than I am.

You got it right Tricia, our Australia Day is on January 26th smack- dab in the middle of summer. Tradition dictates BBQ's and beer, plus the odd firework display.

Happy Canada Day Tricia! And a Happy 4th to all of us FRLians here in the U S of A. And a very belated Happy Aussie Independence Day to you too Carol ;-)

Uh, Carol, just wondering----but what are odd fireworks? We have just regular fireworks here, a least I think they're regular...

-- (sonofdust@fire.works), July 02, 2003.

Sorry Rob. That's the odd firework display or two as opposed to the zillions of displays we once had. As with most things the irresponsible few have spoiled it for the rest of us. What with children and animals being injured and fires being started, you can't even buy fireworks without a licence these days.

Hope you all have a beaut weekend. As my son would say "kick back and relax".

Happy Canada Day, Tricia!

And Happy 4th to the American FRLians! (We're on our way to Oklahoma tomorrow for a family reunion... sheesh, I just got back from there!) LOL!

Carol, sorry I missed your country's birthday!

Let's see if I can still do this:

Very nice Gayla~! Happy and SAFE Fourth of July to each of you dear hearts! :)

-- Aunt Bee (Aunt__Bee@hotmail.com), July 03, 2003.

Oh come on, Tricia, give the upside-down young lady a break ...

(She's on the other side of the date line and all that - Heck, I'm surprised she even knew it was July (you know, like summertime) in the real world, much less in Canada.)

-- Robert & Jean Cook (RobertCook@GA.herewith Lon), July 03, 2003.

Great fireworks Gayla. That's so clever. I hope you are soon back home and all settled in.

LOL Robert. You're quite right. Most of the time I don't know what month it is and seeing as I don't wear a watch I NEVER know what time it is either. You'd think I was blonde instead of salt 'n pepper.

I do know however that we are half a day in front of you rightside- uppers.

BTW you win Brownie points every time you refer to me as "young lady".

For all those who think this Canuckian lost her brain, I want to explain that although I posted earlier on July 1st (CANADA Day), thanks to time zones, it was already July 2nd to the BBoard :-( So, for further clarification, it was July 1st when Carol posted and when I made the comment about it actually being Canada's birthday that she was using to wish happy birthday to the US... Aw fooey. I'm sorry, Carol, I didn't mean to make your upsidedownedness an issue...... Especially since I seem to be topsy-turvy myself!

-- Tricia the Canuck (jayles@telusplanet.net), July 06, 2003.

Tricia, you losing your brain, and being topsy-turvey??? I don't think so, ya silly! Not even possible!

-- Aunt Bee (Aunt__Bee@hotmail.com), July 06, 2003.

Not a problem Tricia. It's good to know that someone else is on the same day as me. As for being topsy-turvy, you've got nothing to worry about. Wait 'till you're as befuddled as I am, then worry! 1:27am July 8th.
