Ehm, DVD is a lot better. You also got SVCD(whitch is also better than VCD) DVD is a Digital Video Disc, Whith on most TV's is crystal clear. VCD has not so good picture. Almost every time you can see the pixels or squares in the picture. That makes the quality a lot lower. Did this help a little. If you wonder more you can just mail me
