Hi, I've been converting Quicktime files to MPEG with TMPGEnc, but the problem is, I can't get the sound to work! Is there anyway you can get the sound working? bondish_001@hotmail.com email me Alex

There are a few angles to this. The most common is that there are no codecs in your system that TMPGenc can read to encode the sound part of your *.qt or *.mov files. If so there are guides for this in such sites like www.dvdrhelp.com. Quicktime, in my view, has always been a bit problematic in Windows; one is such that after installing and registering a Qt codec some applications such as TMPGenc still do not see it. To do away with this, if I have to work with Qt files I open them with Premiere, then after editing export them through VideoServer plug-in to TMPGenc. What type of MPEG r u trying to create? R u creating elementary streams or program streams? It could be that in TMPGenc all that's checked for output type is video only (elementary or program stream). Program stream (audio+video) should be checked in this case.
