On every scope i get the turret knobs have the writing on them that says LEFT---> <----RIGHT and when i turn them right they go left and my question is why dont they mark the knobs the right way

Answers

The markings on the turrets are to show the direction you want the Point of Impact to move, not the crosshairs. eg. poi is 1" low and 1/2" left (7:00) move elevation turret to comp for 1" and windage turret to comp 1/2" right. Hope that helps.
