I'm wondering if there's interest and potential for placing a car in either or both of the following locations: Coolidge Square, Mt. Auburn Street, Watertown and/or the Shaw's Supermarket parking lot on Mount Auburn Street, which is close to the Watertown/Belmont/Cambridge intersection.

Dear Maxine, Where I live, there is good public transit, so I knew that many residents would go for Zipcar. I put up notices (printouts from the web site) which educated people about Zipcar, and sure enough, Zipcar got enough feedback that they installed a car 2 blocks from my house. I don't know how well served the corner of Cambridge, Belmont and Watertown is by buses, etc., so it may take a while for interest to take off. Help it along, though, and you may shorten the wait.

We do have an interest in expanding outward towards Watertown, but continue to work on improving our exisiting newtork to support the growth at the edges. I second Jonathan's suggestions...plenty of interest from the neighborhoods will speed things along.
