Trouble Burning the Inu Yasha DIVX 5 Episodes

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Animes : One Thread

Hello All,

This is my first time writing to this board. I hope someone can help me.

I enjoy burning anime I've downloaded onto videodisc and watching it on my DVD player. Unfortunately, since FanGirlFriday has upgraded their encoding to DIVX 5, I haven't been able to burn those episodes properly.

When I burn those episodes onto a disc, the picture will stay stuck on the first frame, while the sound goes on. I've tried to re-encode the episodes and tried a few different burning programs (Nero, Ulead, Power Director, etc), but nothing has worked.

I'm happy that the episodes are being encoded in better quality, but I'd also like to be able to burn them and watch them on my dvd player like I used to.

Can anyone suggest a burning program that acknowledges DIVX 5? I'd appreciate any help you guys can give.

Thank you,

You could just try encoding them as MPEG file with TMPGEnc and then turning them into a VCD with your program. That's been working just fine for me. Sorry I can't remember the address to get TMPGEnc from off the top of my head, but it should be easy to find in a search. ^_^

Thanks a ton for responding Kirara, I really appreciate it!^_^

Thank you as well for the suggestion of TMPGCE. It's what I normally use as well. For some reason mine won't acknowledge the DIVX 5 files, saying something to the effect of it doesn't recognise the file type, etc.

But if it works for you, maybe my version is already out of date. I will go and look for a newer one.

Thank you so much again! ^_^
