This forum would be as good a place as any to market your bike. I could be interested. How much are you asking for it and where are you?

Mark.

This is probably the best place, but you have to be realistic with the price. 35k is just way to much! Everything depreciates, especially an exhaust system, and the bike is used.

Marcia,

Not here... ...the price is way high.

I will apologise ahead of time if this in anyway seems unkind but this is the third time at least that you have trolled this site with this bike. So I have to wonder, what am "I" missing?

A new out the door 2002 can be had for say high side $19,000.00 US The "KIT" complete is all in taxes and shipping say $10,000.00 US Add another $2,000.00 for the exhaust and the chip. As the whole kit is a bolt on and would, on a bad day, take maybe 8 hours of take-off, put-on, have another beer, to swap out even at $100.00 bucks an hour the labor is only worth $800.00.

Total cash and sweat equity into the NEW bike is $32K and your most recent published price is what $35,000.00. Add in that I believe the bike is used (1000 miles is used)! The values I've used give a lot of benefit of the doubt. Oh, by the way, there should be a complete set of stock parts which were REPLACED included in your deal. You have not mentioned any of the parts which were replaced? Are they included with the purchase? If transport costs, registration taxes or other "soft costs" are concidereed your price is even deeper in the hole. a sell price 12 to 15 thousand lower is closer to the real value if the replaced parts are not included.

Then in defense of the price you add...

"I'm sure down the line, this bike will be a real keepsake." That future value is just that a future value and for the future owner/purchaser not the seller's enrichment today.

"...is at priced at what is into the bike, and nothing more" So I take that to mean that you ARE including ALL the parts that were replaced by the kit with the sale. Are they included with the purchase? If so a statement to that effect would be prudent if you wish to garner the asking price or even close to it.

If I wanted one, I could go build my own at less than your price. Especially if I sold the replaced parts. Why buy yours?

You can probably sell the bike here at a realistic price.

By the way if anyone is interested in the deal at 35K, I get the stock parts, you pay the freight, let me know, I might just go build one for you... ...I'll even sigh it! :)

Good one Scott. This dude is nut!!! Well, then again, i think someone sold a used Senna for over 31K on ebay 2 -3 weeks ago....go figured!!!

I had a motorcycle business few years ago, and by experience, customized bike are harder to sell then stock bike. You get more money for a very clean, record kept, stock bike then any customized one. It so obvious, you have owner putting there bike back in original state before selling it.... I will give less than a new OEM bike, now matter how pretty the bike is. I don't think you will ever sell it at this price, sorry.
