Alamut and the Album, Hashisheengreenspun.com : LUSENET : Bill Laswell : One Thread
Mr. Laswell, I am writing with the hopes of making an email contact with you or your booking agent. I am the co-founder of a literary press in Seattle, WA. We have recently negotiated the rights to a book called Alamut, by Vladimir Bartol. The novel was written in 1938 in Slovene, but it has been translated into many different languages and used as one of the most important works dedicated to the Rock of Alamut and the historical lore associated with the esoteric sect of assassins who fought there against the social order in the 11th and 12th centuries. I want to chat with Mr. Laswell or a booking agent because we are arranging a Slovenian Event with music, art, literature and film, with special emphasis on Alamut and its inspirations and Mr. Laswell is responsible for one of the greatest Alamut inspired creations to date, Hashisheen. Please contact me ASAP as we have meetings with co-sponsors and the Slovenian Embassy at the end of June. I'd like to talk to you before I talk to all of them. -Tony Martinelli
