This one's a girl thing but guys ..u r welcome to contribute of coz! Anyone knows whether the local bikeshops carry cyclewear brands like Pearl Izumi,Precaryous, Sugoi, Terry etc? Currently if i'm not mistaken, they are only available in US stores but still cost a bomb after conversion & shipping charges. Correct me if i'm wrong but i believe there's a largely untapped market for fashionable women's cyclewear here! :P

Hi there.

Women's cycling apparel is hard to find over in this part of the world. I believe Bike Pro Centre in Taman Megah has some ladies gear in stock from Primal Wear and Nike. Cyclon Cycle Industries up in Penang carries Sugoi although I'm not sure whether there's any ladies stuff.

Such items may be easier to find in Singapore if you're headed down that way. Try Two Wheel Action or Treknology.

Why dont you pay a visit down to KSH in Taman Tun? I think they might have some in stock....also try looking at those nike stores... (the women specific one's)i think they are called Nike Women....they should have something comfortable and affordable(that I am not so sure abt)

The important thing to remember is that brands aside, you shld be comfortable with the pair you are purchasing...as you are going to be in them when you're cycling, they have to be comfy enuf!!!

As far as what type of gear are you looking for? There is also a body armor that is made by Team Apex Moto a product called KE2(Kinetic Energy Body Armor) which is a full mesh body armor and has high impact plastic over a multi density foam enclosed in a jersey type mesh (over the body armor parts only) in all the right areas. From the shoulders, chest protector and elbows and forearms, and also a removable back protector. The mesh is breathable something similar to a pair of pantyhose but much thicker and durable, the back protector also has a kidney protectors built into the belt. You wear this armor under any shirt or over a T-shirt and for the price of $139.00. The company has these in 3XS all the way up to 3XL in USA sizes.
