My girlfriend and I both use ZipCar and we've found that there is one features that would make ZipCar much more attractive for couples.

So long as both of us are members, I should be able to authorize my girlfriend's ZipCard to open and lock during my scheduled time. This would also allow her to pick up a car and me to drop it off without handing cards back and forth. For example, she picks up the car, picks me up at work, drives to airport, she takes off and I take the driver's seat and return the car. Alternatively, I could reserve the car when we are at different locations, and whoever gets to the car first could get out of the weather and into the car.

This is a feature we would like to have. We would grant all members on the same account access to the car. We'll consider this improvement later this summer -- if it can be done easily without updating our in-vehicle technology then we should be able to add it.

I have the same problem. This seems like a reasonable request. Perhaps there are some liability issues with who has the car if there is an accident?
