Trigun- Is there any chance for a sequel?

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Animes : One Thread

I was wondering if episode 26 is the last episode of the animes called Trigun or if there is any chance that a sequel might be written?

I didnt get the end of Trigun (if you havent seen it dont read this part) So did Vash kill Knives or did he just wounded him... and why was he sooo happy?

my god i pray there's a sequel!!!! its the best show ever! and no vash didn't kill knives, he just wounded him (he got shot in both legs and both arms and i think in the chest or stomach)

Actually Tigun Maximum WAS shown in the series (it began after Vash blew a hole in the moon).

There is another movie coming out based on Trigun, but i can't remember the name right now. But, if you wanna get really tecnical, then the 26 episodes you saw were, in fact, a sequal. There was a previous Trigun released that was 50 ep long, but was banned to television and the rest of the world due to the content. To put it lightly, it was like the Unedited version of The Exorcist, you know, the one that gave people mental problems. Serious about that too, the first people that watched it got actual mental problems.

I was surfing the internet about that question and i found a site that said that there was a sequel to Trigun. I am not sure if it is true. (More facts later)

I've heard so many different rumors about the names of the sequel! They DID in fact make a sequel in Japan; BUT the ratings weren't very high so haven't realised it in America yet! I'm trying so hard to find the real name of the sequel so I can look it up on e-bay or maybe even on Google, Yahoo, Kazaa, AOL. THROW ME A BONE HERE! Anyways, I I find It I'll get back to you guys. Rumor names that I can remember (There's way more than this, these are just the ones I remember.) : Gundrive Trigun Maximum Gun Shy (Gunshy, Gun-shy)? Anyways, hope I helped! Bye!

I`ll try to throw some of my cards in here . Gungrave is the new tv show that`ll be aired soon in japan. The series revolves arounnd the same universe as that of Trigun's . There was also a game that cameout for it and the main character of gungrave carries a huge casket on his back while fighting, even uses it as a weapon . I`m betting this series is gonna KICK A$$ !

I hope there is no sequel, the show was good as it was and it doesn't need a sequel. Vash found Knives and did Rem wanted him to, he "saved" him and it doesn not need to be continued. I would rather not see it be drawn out to over 300 episodes like Dragon BallZ. It would be best for it to be left alone.

there isn't much that hasn't been said. Not looking at the rumours or "anime like it".

Originally in japan, the show had poor ratings (not bad, but enough that it would not be worth it to make another). A couple years ago, they wouldn't even think of releasing an anime in the states (North America, considering Canada is just as important as the States), exspecially a futuristic western.

However, as the Fans have grown in North America, there is a possibility of changing their minds. The Big O is one example of Americians taking control. Because of the ratings in the states, the creator (whom I can't remember his name) has decided to create a sequel.

this link doesnt work! http://mediaviewer.ign.com/ignMediaPage.jsp? media_id=1482940&object_id=569479&channel_id=70&page_title=Trigun+The+ Planet+Gunsmoke+Video&adString=network%3Dign%26site%3Dps2% 26pagetype% 3Dvideo&return_url=http%3A%2F%2Fps2.ign.com%2Fobjects% 2F569% 2F569479.html , yeah, i'd rather there not be a sequel. Everything is done, I'd rather them NOT add to the plot/make it different. The show was great, but making it different in any way may even mess it up...but that's just me...i WOULD watch it, but like I said i HOPE there is no sequel :-(

I hope there is a sequel, because how did Vash save Knives by shooting him in his arms and legs?

-- Anonymous, August 12, 2003

Trigun Maximum is the manga sequel to Trigun.

There are a lot of differences, mainly the fact that Wolfwood never dies.

I hope they make a sequal. and i guess by wounding vash he stopped him form taking over and wiping out the humans he will probaly teach him his non-killing ways.

-- Anonymous, October 07, 2003

I hope there isn't a sequel the series. The main plot of the story is over. Knives is defeated already.

They MIGHT make an OVA/movie but I doubt it and I doubt it.

If they do make the movie it will be cool to see how Vash got all those big scars and stuff.
