Why can my dvd player just play some VCDs. I have a few VCD from the same company, and I cant play it. My DVD player works fine with VCDs from another company.

Look at the DVD Player Compatibility List at http://www.vcdhelp.com and see what it says about your player. Since you don't give us any details, it's impossible to say what your problem is. If you have a portable, well, they are notorious for having problems with VCD on CD-R media. Are your VCDs commercial ones pressed to silver discs like commercial audio CDs or are the VCDs burned to CD-R/W? It can make a big difference. VCDs burned to CD-R/W could have a variety of problems that will keep your player from playing them.
