hi Eric, as i told previously i have truncated temporary tables. it also got much records. but after deletion still properties of the datafile of that database shows the same 2.03GB . not even single MB get reduced. what is problem. is data not then affects datafile. i think it wont be like that . what might be problem.

Raja,If those temporary tables were in tempdb, truncating them would have no effect on your "real" database.
