XVCD file size with Nerogreenspun.com : LUSENET : Video CD : One Thread |
Here's a problem I've had for a long time now.As I understand it, the maximum size of an MPEG file that can be authored to VCD, XVCD, SVCD or XSVCD is 798 MB. So why does Nero complain when I try a 750 MB file? It wants to overburn, but the size is way below the 798 MB limit. I see this only with MPEGs which are not strictly VCD or SVCD compliant.
Thanks!

Just found the answer to my own question. The video and audio streams have to be multiplexed correctly, otherwise Nero will apply padding to the MPEG. I used TMPGEnc to remux the MPEG for VCD and the problem was fixed.
