I have a research paper due soon in which I have to have 6 pages of notes for an 8 paragraph paper. It's almost finished, but I'm at a dead end. I need any awards and achievements accomplished by E.A. Poe. Please e-mail me with anything that will help me on this secion of my project.

He did not recieve any awards that I am aware of. For he was know when he was alive to be a great poet but his step-father (John Allan) did not let him be published. He was considered the first writer of the "classic horror setting" though. You know, dark stormy night, dead trees, haunted house on a hill, no one around for miles...and all that other 'scary' stuff.
