I don't know Barry son. Haven't been able to get a peep out of it for the past 30 minutes. Left the computer cause I couldn't listen to the last 5 minutes and haven't been able to get on since. Excellent result in the end and Chelseas. 3rd place will be ours now.

5:50pm (GMT) NOTBBC still not working.

Good result in the circumstances, and from the radio commentary it seemed we should have won far more comfortably. Solano missed a good chance with his head, and it appeared that CB had several decent chances to put the result beyond doubt. At 1-0 we were always at risk, but I'll take the three points.

Thank you Sun'lan, and goodbye.

One more win - hopefully against Brum next week - should do it.

Yep - beat Brum and then only a loss @ WBA and a Chewlsea Scouse draw can stop us assuming they both win next weekend.

Radio 5 report Toon fans singing 'Well meet again Don't know where don't know when' @ SOL

Nice pix here :-

Nobody can tell me that Hugo is unhappy here. He was 1st to congratulate Nobby v Villa after the kick which Nobby took next to him and again he's a happy bunny.

How Clarky, have you been in here by yersel all week or something?

-- Anonymous, April 26, 2003

Justin Fuckwit on the post-match phone in said "We've got gremlins on the line". Not the most tactful way of putting it.....

If you don't get that, then here's what I mean.

I miss html, I do.

18:45pm (GMT) - managed to get into NOTBBS bbs for 10 minutes, and then it crapped out again!

Shags - nah, just got back from 10 days very enjoyable "r&r" in Florida. The weather was sublime and the trip was only spoiled by the Fulham & Villa results.

I had a bad feeling the tonking from ManU would havea hugely -ve physcological effect on a young team, and so it proved. After the initial disappointment, I actually thought the point from the Villa game might be important in breaking the demoralising losing sequence.

While we don't appear to have played well today, it seems we created a lot of chances and should have won comfortably. A win and a clean sheet could make all the difference in the final analysis.

If nothing else, the recent hiatus has at least shown the squad still needs some stengthening - especially in m/f.

ps: agree with you about the desirability of using html on here.

Nope, it's down again. 220am BST

Just back in after a very long day working 2 matches and looked forward to reading the reports from the only match that really mattered today. Very glad to hear we won!

Yep, down again this morning. Will email Rob S for news if it doesn't reappear soon...

11:10am (GMT) - do it Dan, it's still down (I can't recall his e-mail addy).

How come every place we inhabit goes t*ts up eventually?

-- Anonymous, April 27, 2003

Aye, still down at 11.30am, as is toontastic (reason for it's two- week disappearence: some Mackems hacked into it, or so they say).

I've had to resort to the BBS of Baal which isn't pretty right now. Beneath the general dummy- spitting-out hilarity (the "Bobby Robson has SARS" thread being particularly side-splitting)they've twisted yesterday's game to give them a moral victory. The logic is:

a) They're the worst team in premiership history; b) We didn't thrash them; Therefore (I really need one of those three-dot-triangle thingies) c) They won.

Bless!
