What can I expect after core decompression of one hip? When can I drive? When can I return to my work (desk job)? How well will be able to get around? any advise?

Core decompression may be considered a fairly benign procedure as it does not cause severe post op pain or complications. Usually the treating doctor will permit return to normal weightbearing activity and other activities of daily living within about 6 weeks. Usually there is a short period of non-weightbearing or protected weightbearing after the procedure.

Return to desk job may occur even sooner than this. Discuss these limitations with your doctor as each case may be different.
