How's the highway driving? Does this have a peppy engine for turnpike driving. Is there a time/battery limit (how many hours?) How do you recharge/fill up the car?

I find that the Prius is fun to drive, quite peppy, although give yourself a few minutes to get used to the different controls. You don't have a battery limit since it is a hybrid, so the gas engine charges the batteries. You get great mileage and you just fill it up like any other normal car. I highly recommend giving one a try.

The Prius is a GREAT car. Not *quite* as much pickup as a regular car, but of all the cars in the fleet, it's easily my favorite. Very quiet and great gas milage.

The hybrid Civic is even more comfortable on the highway, and has better crash safety. They both deserve to do well in the automotive marketplace, as well as with ZipCar drivers.
