I was really excited to see a zipcar parked in the heart of my neighborhood. The timing of this new location was perfect for me because I was just debating buying a new car but wasn't enthusiastic about it. I can't wait for my application to be approved. But the car at the Takoma Park location is a wagon, and I was wondering how and when you decide to increase the number of cars at a location so that I might have access to a car that is more my style. (a mini cooper would be great ;) ...) Is the takoma location getting much use yet? I think zipcar is an ingenious idea. You guys Rock!

Thanks for your feedback, and glad to hear you are joining due to the new car at The Gazing Globe. The car is getting use, and did well it's first month out of the chute. We put a wagon there due to a request from the sponsors (The Gazing Globe) and a few other members. However, we have received a duplicate message from atleast one other Zipster in Takoma. We would love to add another vehicle, and will once the car reaches a higher utilization (more than double what it is now). At the rate Takoma residents are signing up, that can happen this summer. You can help by spreading the word to all of your neighbors. In the meantime, would a sportier Toyota Matrix work? It's still technically a wagon, but much sexier.
