Hey Just poped in to say "Hey!!" I've bben off for a while due to a new marriage then got a new computer after old one crashed with everything on it. Couldn't find any of my faorite sites! Took me a while to find the homesteading today and that was by accident!!! LOL

It's good to see some names that I have wondered about. How's Earthmama doing?

Welll to make a long story short I did find the man of my dreams through the net and it took that to find someone just down the street!!!! We got married almost 2 years ago lived in a one room apartment for a year and saved enough to get a septic tank, electric and put a big down payment down on our home (yes a mobile but it's our home) We should have it paid off in 5 years. We have a 4 bedroom 2 bath double wide. We wanted to build a house but being we are living on my parents 4 acres we could find no one to loan us the money since we don't own the property.

We had to get out of the small apartment due to my step daughter moving in with us. She is 13 and loves animals so she's in hog heaven!!! She takes care of them everyday after school just because she wants to not a chore to her even though we do give her a small allowance.

My hubby Mike is loving country living even though I wish we could be more self suff. He still has a way to go but he's slowly getting there! He is so amazed at animals and just loves having them around. Can't wait for him to tell me Jax. is getting too crowded. We live on the outskirts of jax so we are near things but have the 4 acres to plant and enjoy.
