Update on New Publication that is coming AME HERALD

greenspun.com : LUSENET : A.M.E. Today Discussion : One Thread

I have posted in another thread that there will be a new publication coming to the internet called AME HERALD. This will be a weekly publication in the format of a newspaper. We will even have editorials. We do have a sponsor to get going. And the publication with be published WEEKLY and yes we will have deadlines;-)by myself and my daughter Licentiate Danielle Rogers who has a degree in broadcast journalism. We will be using Bureau Chiefs, the Bureau Chief will help gather the news for each district and write articles for the publication. Our goal is to have a Bureau Chief for each district. So far we have Rev. Nalton Brangman of the Bermuda Conference as a Bureau Chief for Bermuda (because the first district is so big the Bermuda Conference will have it's own Bureau Chief) Rev. Lorenzo Neal is the Bureau Chief for the 12th district. Robert Matthews PR Director of the sixth district Lay organization will write guest editorials as his schedule permits and will have an editorial in the first issue.

If you would like to be a Bureau Chief or Conference Bureau Chief if you are in a large district such as the first, fifth etc. Please contact me. We especailly want Lay participation and young adults. This publication will be different than AME Today. There will be chat rooms, audio/video files (pray for me as learn to do that this week;-) We need your help and it will be fun getting out denominational information in a timely fashion. Please write me if you would like to help. Thank you everyone. I am working on the website now and our goal is to be up in 10 to 12 days.

My Dearest Sister

Please forgive me if I have given you the wrong impression. I am a layman and not ordained. I would not want to mislead the good workers and members of our Church. Because of my work across the connection I have been referred to in this vein before but I am content to remain a layman seeking to serve the lord as best as I can. May God Bless You as I am now seeking information for you for the publication. Blessings to you all

Bro. Nalton please forgive me. I thought I had read in one of your previous posts that you referred to yourself as "parson from Bermuda" so please forgive me. But my brother part of an authentic call to serve God is that others see your calling first. So perhaps you maybe called to ordained ministry. I will share with you one day about my call for something similar happened to me. Thank you for all that you do for the church. I look forward to hearing from you!
