I'm doing a religion project for school and I want to know what the Catholic Church's view is on premarital sex. I looked at the Catechism but it didn't really make any sense to me. Help!

God's view of premarital sex (fornication) is clearly stated in His Word ...

Matthew 15:19 "For out of the heart come evil thoughts, murder, adultery, fornication, theft, false witness, slanders.

Acts 15:29 "... abstain from things sacrificed to idols and from blood and from things strangled and from fornication; if you keep yourselves free from such things, you will do well."

1 Corinthians 6:9 "Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals ..."

Hebrews 13:4 "Marriage is to be held in honor among all, and the marriage bed is to be undefiled; for fornicators and adulterers God will judge".

The Church teaches the Word of God. Therefore its "view" of the matter is the same as God's stated "view".

The Church's stand is kind of straightforward. She (The Roman Catholic Church) says no to premarital sex, as Paul has mentioned in his reply.

fornication = sexual intercourse between two unmarried persons. If either person is married to someone else, then it is adultery.

I am glad to see you asking. Its never too late to turn your back on sin, and do things the way Christ wants you to.

Please stay away from the Eucharist. It is a very grave sin to receive the Eucharist while having sex with a Lady you are not married to.

This is a very serious matter! You deepley offend our Lord every time you have sex with this woman, and you are commiting the very grave sin of sacriledge every time you receive the Eucharist.

You should Know better than this after five years in the seminary.You realy should be ashamed of yourself.
