There's a new sheriff in town........

greenspun.com : LUSENET : A.M.E. Today Discussion : One Thread

Greetings, Brothers and Sisters:

In the wake of the recent postings (doesn't Satan read his ugly head when things are starting to go God's way?), I have taken over as moderator for this discussion board.

I will do my best to maintain the board at the level that the late Rev. Fisher did. I do not have any plans to adminster A.M.E. today; I would do so only if Sis. Fisher requested it (and the A.M.E. Church paid for it).

You will notice that I have taken down the last two offensive posts.

Thanks to all of you for pointing them out, and for praying for the transgressors. Pray for me.

God bless you all.....

Rev. John Harper

Rest assured Brother John that I will be riding "shotgun" with you as you clean up this board and make your presence known! Thank you for stepping up to the challenge of keeping our community alive. I read that offensive post and prayed for the offender online. How sad to have something offensive placed on a board meant for good! Let's keep Rev. John Fisher's memory bright by keeping his vision clear!

Dear Rev. Harper

I am a pastor in the 15th District, Namibia Annual Conference. My motto in my Ministry is "the Joy of serving the Lord is lawys my strenght" My conviction in life is that God takes care of everything therefore my soul food through times is "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens". My brother I am happy that God call somebody like you to step in and take charge of naother faculty of His work. I will pray for you and wish you all the best in your new appointment. Surely this BBoard is our bread and butter here on the other side of the ocean where we learn things about the greater church. I am deeply moved in the fact that you have avail yourself to take on this gigantic task. Thank you!, Thank you!!, Thank you!!!

God bless you and keep you.

Thank God Brother that you are in a position to remove/monitor and moderate this board. My initial response was to ignore it when I saw, it brought tears to my eyes. I was moved however to post as I did. God Bless you all!
