Ride from Kg Kemensah to Sg Chongkak on Sunday 6/4/03

I'm planning to ride the Kemensah to Chongkak trail this coming Sunday, 6 April 03. Everybody welcome.

It's a very steep, 14-kilometre jungle trail that crosses from west to east from Kg Kemensah (behind the Zoo) to the Sg Chongkak recreational area in Ulu Langat. The last time I rode it in August 01, it took me 4.5 hours, including stops, to get to Sg Chongkak. To get back from Chongkak, we can either arrange a car shuttle, or cycle back on the road to Taman Melawati (35km).

For more details on this ride please refer to the Kemensah - Chongkak trailguide on the KLMBH site.

For those who want to Shuttle:
Meet at the car park at the BP station in Taman Melawati at 0700 hrs. We'll drop off bikes and riders, while a skeleton crew of drivers will convoy to Sg Chongkak to drop off the transport cars. All the drivers will then return to Taman Melawati in 1 or 2 cars (depending on how many of us there are). We can leave a change of clothing, drinks and perhaps some food in the transport cars.

For those who wish to ride all the way back, meet at the BP station at 0900 hrs.

If interested, please post a reply here so that we can organise logistics.

Joe

Now, yes Mr Joe. Have got other cycling plans this Sunday. Would have loved to come. Realised I don't have this trail in our collection yet: http://wildasia.net/main/index_articles.cfm?topicID=8 Would be nice to have an updated version when you get back! Hope the trail is clear for a good ride. Reza
