DB2/Connect on z/OS - Linux to DB2 Sharing Group

greenspun.com : LUSENET : DBAzine : One Thread

We have plans to implement DB2/Connect on Linux on z/OS to connect applications to our 6-way data sharing group.

To exploit hypersockets DB2/Connect and the DB2 member must run on the same footprint. Then we can't exploit the DB2/Connect Syplex feature to connect to all members in the sharing group because they are implemented on different footprints.

How can we solve this? Do we have to implement DB2/Connect on all footprint but how can we connect a single application (PeopleSoft,AIX) to the different DB2/Connent implementations?
