Real Media Video to MPEG

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Video CD : One Thread

Can someone help me, I need to convert a bunch of .RM files to .MPEG so I can burn them to VCD. Does anyone know of a program that can help me out here? I use tmpgenc for avi, but it doesent support .rm files, any help would be appreciated, thanks.

You need a program called tinra. Do a web search to find it. Real Media quality is usually pretty poor, so don't be surprised if the final result is not so good - garbage in, garbage out.

I got the program, but there are a bunch of different compressors (cinepac codec by radius, Intel Video, Microsoft RLE, DivX 4.02, MS MPEG 4 3688 V2) I tried DivX 4.02 and it made the video go faster than the audio, can you please help me out with the settings?

Try rm convertor 1.40 at www.boilsoft.com to convert rm to avi and use avi convertor to convert to vcs/svcd/dvd
