It Is Writtten

Hello my Internet Church Family,

I received an encouraging word from my daily devotional that I read every day from IN TOUCH ministries. The word is that when Jesus was led by the Holy Spirit into the wilderness to be tested by satan, He always responded with " It is written".

The daily devotional stated that if the Son of God always fight with the Word of God then we christians should always begin our fight against the enemy with the word of God. We should not engage the enemy in conversation unless it is the Word of God. So many times the enemy has caught me off guard because he is a master of disguises. However, we are going to have to learn to study God's word more and speak scripture directly to our adversary. We are going to have to learn to say to our three enemies( flesh-human nature, world(man's sociocultural/secular values etc.) and satan words that are in the Holy Bible. Hello my Internet Church Family again,

Let me correct the next to the last sentence of my statement.

We are going to have to learn to say to our three enemies- flesh, this world, and satan " It is written. What you say after it is written will depend on your knowledge of the scripture and specific situation. For example, if you get sleepy while praying one may simply say " Begone satan in the name of Jesus". If one feels fearful, one may say " The Lord is my light and my salvation, whom shall I fear" or "The Lord will deliver me from every evil deed and bing me safely to His kingdom, to Him be the glory for ever". If one perceives an attack on this BB one may say " No weapon formed against me shall prosper". If one doesn't know what to say, one may simply be silent and say "Help me Holy Ghost".
