Trial MTB (looking for new bike)

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Mountain Bike Hash Forum : One Thread

Actually i wanted a mtb for a weekend ride at my housing area. So, could anyone help me whether my new interest will last longer. I've been to Kian Seng Heng (in TTDI) and Lerun at Damansara, found a bike within my budget (RM900-1200), but had a crush on Giant Nrs.(RM2+++). Within this budget, what bike should i buy? I'm looking for a bike that can be modified and fits most expert parts. TQ.

The short rules of buying a mountain bike:

1. Get one that fits. Stand across the top tube of the bike and make sure you have about 2 inches to clearance between tube and jewels.

2. Make sure it's within your budget. If you're new to mountain biking, don't spend much more than RM2k. My first mountain bike was RM800.

3. Choose a colour you like.

KSH had a Giant with Avid mechanical disk brakes for an extremely reasonable price, in bright yellow. Make sure you also check out Bike Pro and the KSH shop in SS2, as their stock and prices may vary.
