Ghillie suits -Thermal proof?

Just wondering how,if possible ,you can avoid detection from thermal imaging equipment? This must be the biggest and most frightening threat to the sniper/infantry man on the battlefield today. Regards Rotor

for the guy with cv-90 problems

I would recommend trying out making a screen from a thermal matress (liggunderlag, ta den grå skummade typen). I've seen it used quite effectively by at AT-group with the BILL-AT system against CV-90 and Leopard thermals. It's not the most mobile solution but for a fixed OP it should do nicely. Pay attention so the sun doesn't heat it up during daytime though!

Yes, there are quit a few ways to bet thermal sights. We have used a umbrella where the inside was lined with a "space blanket".The umberlla was cut in half, so it was a half circle. Your stalk with it in front of you as you move ( of course you would camouflage it first). You can sew a "space blanket" inside between two military ponchos. once you do this, you can camouflage it, and use it as a blanket, to cover your entire body. Of course you will need to seal the head holes in it. This is very, very HOT! There are four other ways I know from personal experience work, however a good magician never reveals all of the tricks of his trade. I hope I have given you a unique insite. If you have any questions, you can e-mail me. "one shot, one kill!" KophJager (Head-Hunter)

If you go to "Miscellaneous" on the nav bar, then "Debrief Room", scroll down about 1/4 of the way and it's all there. Take a good look around here folks......lots of good stuff just there for the lookin' The biggest and most frightening threat for infantry on the battlefield is and pretty much always has been artillery, unless of course you've lost air cover....in which case it's air dropped/launched ordnance plus artillery.
