Did they make an all silver MV in 2000?

This is a link to an eBay add for an all silver 2000 monoposto. I thought the all silvers came in 2002.

As far as I know the all silver ones first started showing up in 2001, I know this much cause I had my name on one. I saw the same add earlier and wondered too why it says 2000.

True, Y2K only came in red/silver.

If I'm looking at the same silver bike on ebay, the 10th and 11th VIN code digits "YV" indicates it is a 2000 model. Interesting....

Could the owner repainted or, God forbid, replaced the "original" with a diamante' set?

Cheers!!!

The factory can make late 2000 already new bikes with 2001 specs. VIN may differntiate a little bit. Also 2001 build machines could have 2000 spec if the are lacking behind. I have a 2000 1+1 with full 2001 spec like twin rad's and so on. So the silver one is also possible!

The owner bought a new silver 2002 and traded parts from his 2000.
