Video games have been around longer than most of us. The first games were created in the early 60's and played on gargantuan computers. Let's turn the clock back a bit. What are your favorite games on the following consoles: Atari, NES, SNES, Gameboy (And all it's evolutions), Genesis, (And all it's hardware add-ons), PS1, PS2, X-Box, N64 and Gamecube? I've played games on all these consoles. With Missle Command, Metroid, Chrono Trigger, Golden Sun, Sonic 3, FF7, FFX, Ocarina of Time and Super Smash Bros Melee as my favorites. What are yours?

Is Golden Sun any good? My brother raved about it for ages and even sent me the ROM but we have different tastes in games so I've been reluctant to start it just yet. You forgot to add PCs to your list, though strictly speaking they aren't consoles. I've played some fantastic games on PC and I'll post my list later 'cos I'm kinda busy right now.

hmmmm well i have always loved the zelda games *hugs epona plushie*...though i dont like the graphics for TWW..cell shading annoys me...but i've always wanted to play the rpg game "tenchi muyo" but i think it was released for SNES in japan only...lol golden sun is very fun...i love answering some of the questions..."will you save the world?"..."no"...game over...simple pleasures...Super Smash Bros. why has anyone mentioned final fanasty X-2....

Personally i only played it for an hour or so at my friends house but i got hooked to it straight away at the start. It's not the plot that was great cos there wasn't really a plot but it was the gameplay and especialy the battle system. i loved the return of the traditional ff7 battle system in X-2 with extra enhancements

Well, the reason no one has mentioned FFX-2 is twofold. Firstly, the game hasn't come out yet. Not even in Japan. Thus no one has played it (not even you) and could not list it as one of the best games of all time (seeing as it has yet to actually exist). The other issue with listing it as one of the best games of all time would be the simple fact that FFX sucked, and therefore FFX-2 will also likely suck. The simple fact that there are no playable male characters in the game shows a tendency to say to hell with decent gameplay, all people want these days is eye candy anyway.

Ya know, it's times like this that you've really got to wish that there were some sort of delete post button, but oh well. It would appear that the game actually has come out it Japan, and I was just too lazy to look that up before posting. Oddly enough, I really don't mind, as most of the reviews I've read seem to think that the game's plot sucked and that the gameplay was mediocre.

Yeah! Seiken Densetsu 3 is the best SNES game ever! Not even Square has surpassed it on the SNES. (ever play Bahamut lagoon? that game came out of square a year later, and it still is not nearly as cool..) Namco tried with Tales of Phantasia, but making the fights turn based pretty much ruined it for me.

I've never played an Atari. On NES, it was this great Ninja Turtles game i found once, plenty of Arcade action. SNES is tough, I didnt have one, but i liked many of their fighting games. MK and SF are good. Gameboy: Legned of Zelda, Link's Awakening, and for GBA: Golden Sun. Didnt have a genesis. Liked sonic. PS1: FF7. PS2: GTA3 (and VC) X-box: Halo. N64: Zelda, Ocarina of Time. Gamecube, im doing the gamecube deal right now so i have 3 favs: Enter the Matrix. SSBM. and finally: 007 Nightfire.

See, now I'm pissed off, first of all you dont include the dreamcast, the bestest value 4 money around, and then you fail to mention Shenmue. It is the best game ever, and the good thing was that however crap u were you would complete it eventually, it'd just take u a year. So anyway, that was my favourite game until I manaed to find the ultra rare Shenmue 2 (dreamcast, not shitty X-box conversion) and suddenly my new favourie game is Shen mue 2, closely followed by shenmue, Super Smash Bros Melee, and finally Power Stone 2!!

PS DREAMCAST RULES!! and any FF after final fantasy 7 blows hard arse!! And Enter the Matrix isn't a game, its a sorry excuse for a place mat!
