What d'you think of it? I've played almost all the games, except 1,2,4 and 10 and I think the series is pretty good, but I liked 6 best and my favorite character of all time is Sephiroth but Sabin rocks too.

i think sephiroth oh i have the ff games that didnt come out in the us i have ff2 , ff5 and ff6 for the super famicon i got them at ebay oh and i also have chrono trigger for it ( i cant believe i have chrono trigger for the super famicon and the snes ) oh i also have smrpg for the super famicon and snes and super famicon ( those rpg games were as good as hell ) lots of people would agree with me that chrono trigger and super mario rpg was the best rpg games of all time

My favorite characters are Cloud for FF7 and Skuall for FF8.I have FF6,7,8,9,10 and Anthology also Tactics except the ones below 5.However my favorite out of all of them is Final Fantasy 7.I've heard that they are making a re-make of FF7 for the PS2,and there are now 4 disks the first 3 the same but the graphics even better.Write your comments like what do you think and wich is your favorite FF game,I would continue writing right now but I've got to go...

That is not true, there is no re-make of ff7, there was a rumor that there was going to be a sequal to it but Squarsoft denied it, but there is going to be a re-make of ff1 and ff2, and you probaly know that they are going to have a sequal for FFX. Oh, and Cloud and Tidus where my favorit charcters.

Yeah, I heard about the 1&2 remake as well, it look cool, they're going to add new FMVs and stuff. I also like Vivi from FF9, even though I've only played like 5 hours. Everyone else is boring and Zidane has even scratched his butt twice!! No respect, no respect!

The best Final Fantasy by far is FFIV (FF2 in the States). It has the best story line, the best plot, and the greatest characters ever seen in the series. No one has ever made a better game to this day... sure FFVII is a great game with likeable characters, a great battle system, and amazing graphics, but it doesn't compare to the overall appeal of FFIV. New "gamers" have no appreciation for the classics or the origins of games, now they just look for the best graphics first instead of looking into what the game is really about. The fact that people are only now talking about FFI and FFII with the upcoming reamake is sad since people can't enjoy the essence of the old 8-bit games as a whole. Finally, without a doubt the best character ever created would have to be.... Sabin.

Just because a game is really old does not make it better than other games which came after it, you know. Sure, graphics do not make a game, especially not RPGs but what's wrong with looking forward to nice-looking remakes?

What's wrong with remakes is that people lose all appreciation for the original, and no just because a game is old doesn't mean that it's good, but they really don't make games like they used to.

In terms of quality, yes, but you can't expect the industry to stay the same all the time. Of course i miss such games as FF6 where i could stay up playing all night 3 times over. I can't imagine doing that with say ff8. Boy does Squall ever suck. And Rinoa, don't even go there man!

Right the industry has to change, but usually you'd think it's for the better and not the worse. Storylines and plots have been lacking for a while now, not just in Final Fantasy games, but all games in general. But yeah one thing I really do agree with you on is that FF8 was a terrible game.

Ah...the FF series. Certainly the best RPG series with only the Legend of Zelda series coming close. I wonder what Square is brewing up these days. I've heard tales of an FF title for Gamecube. Perhaps Square is turning from the dark side (Sony) at last. Come to think of it, Square seems to be the only software developer that keeps the PS2 popular with it's multitude of awesome RPG's.

Hey Dr. Mack Foxx are you saying that the only good RPGs on the PS2 are produced by Square? Cuz that is a horribly ignorant assumption. Given that Square's RPGs are some of the best but they're not the only ones, take for instance the Breath of Fire series produced by Capcom, by far some of the most genuine storylines, or, hell, the newly released masterpiece Xenosaga from Namco, I mean to say that Square is the only one producing great games is just dumb. Look around at something other than the Gamecube or the N64 once in a while, there hasn't been a great game from Nintendo for a long time.

The FF series is the best, but there are indeed several other companies that made awesome RPG's. I have yet to sample Breath of Fire. Enix made some great stuff too like Illusion of Gaia and Brain Lord, not to mention Dragon Warrior. Now Enix and Square have merged so what they crank out together is anyone's guess.

I think that now that Squaresoft and Enix united and made Enix head of the company,I dont think that they are going to make Final Fantasy games like they used to.This kind of sucks,because I was hoping for Squaresoft to make a re-make for FF7...

I personaly love rpg game my favourate are breath of fire 1-4 and the ff series 7,8,10 are my favourate if you like rpg game try breath of 2 or 3 it is good i played the ff series it was fabulous!!!

I'm going to get BoFIII this week. I almost got the .iso but I'm thinking of making an RPG collection so I'm going to buy it brand new. Capcom should thank me for this :)
