flash cards: lexar 24x speed vs sandisk

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Imaging Resource Discussion : One Thread

My Nikon coolpix 5000 takes quite a few seconds to record hi resolution pix or video (17mb in size). I am using a sandisk flashcard, would it make any difference to use the Lexar flashcard at 24x speed?

There are no speed specification on the sandisk flashcard, anybody knows the speed on the sandisk flash cards? Is the lexar flash card 512mb at 24x any faster than the sandisk of the same size?

Answers

for lexar cards speed is measured as cdrom .... 1x=150kb ... so 24x ... do the maths... sandisk has ultra and ultra-II for hi speed card ............ well if you use a regular sandisk card ... 24x lexar will make quite a difference.
