Nan Robertson Murder

greenspun.com : LUSENET : San Francisco History : One Thread

I was wondering in anyone knew about the murder trial/case of Nan robertson. Apparently she murdered her husband and was tried between 1904-1905, but I have not been able to find any other information on the matter thus far. Any clues would be appreciated.

Are you sure you're not thinking of Nan Patterson, the Floradora girl who shot Caesar Young because he was returning to his wife instead of running off with her? She's covered in the chapter "The Girl in the Hansom Cab" in Marvin J. Wolf and Katherine Mader's "Rotten Apples: True Stories of New York Crime and Mystery 1689 to the Present" (Ballantyne paperback):

If you are indeed thinking of Nan Patterson (as the other post noted), I read about the case in, of all places, a Reader's Digest Condensed Book. Hey, it was all that was on the shelf at the B&B. The article was titled "The Nan Patterson Story" and was written by the defense lawyer's son from the trial notes and his own first-hand account. Hope this helps you track it down.
