castration + baseball analogy

Dear sir; Back in the 60's psychologists,in california, had a baseball Q&A test they would ask sexual offenders to determine whether or not they should be castrated by the state. I had seen the last offender to be so treated, on TV once, in the early 70's,and have often wondered what the psychologist was looking for, what answers to what questions etc. thank you bill duff

Hi Bill, OK here is how to find the answer to your question, or at least it will put you on the road. First you have to write to the California board of prisons or find someone who can tell you the correct name or title of the psychological test. Then you have to look it up in a book, I think the name of the book is the Buros Mental Tests and Measurements Yearbook. Something like that. All good university libraries should have a copy, and the reference libraian will help you find it. If there was such a test used, it will have an evaluation in that book. And the evaluation will answer all of your questions. Good luck, David
